Hello guys!
After a long two years, I have finally finished and released my new all Guitar Instrumental Progressive Rock Solo Album called "Mother Earth".

The idea for the album and the songs came from the problems with global
warming and the planet being destroyed by ourselves
...
I have no intention to preach Green Peace ideas, but I do not deny that I
am passionate about these problems. I decided to connect my art with this theme which
has to be the most important in the public space.. (I dream it). That
is how the name of the album was born.

The album is entirely composed, recorded and mixed by me.
It contains 11 songs again that are arranged thematically.

The album is recorded fully in a software environment, and the only "live"
instruments are the guitar and the bass guitar. All the rest are samplers and software synthesizers. For the drums I used EZdrummer® , XLN Audio - Addictive Drums. All the guitars are recorded with software amp simulators, for example:
Revalver MK II and Revalver MK3, Aradaz Green and Crunch free ware vst amps, Nick Crow Simple Guitar Combo and Juicy 77 Hi Gain Amp.
All the rest of fx used for the mixing come from my Cubase 4, many Voxengo plugins, Schwa Plugins and a lot of free ware plugins.

You can download some of my guitar chains-patches in my web site - the sound patches section. Also Very soon I will provide backing tracks to play with.

You can purchase the CD from my web site http://nalbantov.com through Pay Pal. After a few weeks it will be available in CD Baby and Itunes

Samples at my web site http://www.nalbantov.com. There are also  two full songs.

Here are two of the songs for download

I hope you will like the music made by me!

With much respect to this great forum for independent musicians ,

Welcome Dimitar to the forum.

Abandoned Place - nice bluesy fee to this one. Starts out slow & soft - only a pale hint of what is to come. Excellent fluid guitar playing here. The section starting at 1:24 is simple but elegantly pulled off - a very nice touch.  Well Done Dude! This one gets The Official A'swepe Seal of Approval.

Shangri La - Nice intro - great build-up to the main theme at 0:41. Another well-performed tune that held my interest through two listens.

I'm going to add both to my Radio Show - more info here:

Best of luck with the CD.

Welcome to the forum.  Love the album cover and concept.  I'm totally with ya on the concept too (see sig).  Drum programming is great.  You're obviously talented, and don't over do the solo guitar.  It's just perfect.  "Abandoned Place" is REALLY GOOD.  Wow man, just wow.    You really know your instrument well, and you have some really great compositions.  Love the guitar tone.  Rock on! \m/

dimitar

Just listened to Abandoned Place.

I love it when I can actually hear the GUITAR in a guitar-tune, as opposed to endless distortion.  The many and various tones you achieve are beautiful. Your sense of melody and dramatic tension makes repeated listening a pleasure. THAT's what music is all about.

Thanks for sharing these tunes. I'll plan to snatch your CD when it gets to cd-baby.

What axes did you use for these tunes? Also, did I actually hear an acoustic guitar in Abandoned Place, or was that also simulated?

Now I'm off to catch the next tune....I got a feeling I'm going to like it just as much.

Wow, this sounds great!  "Shangri La" has the perfect balance of bluesy-dorian shred and modern metal.  I love the articulation of the rhythm tracks too, I can feel what your right hand is doing the whole time.  Very nice.

Dude!  you've got great chops!!  i love dynamics you achieve in each track. It's great to see the electronica-esq vibe creep it's way into instrumental guitar.  Congratulations on the Guitar Idol, too!!   What was that process like?

you're welcome man, I've really become a fan of yours.  I'll probably pick up your disc for my Dad for Christmas.  Seriously good stuff.  You're a natural talent, and you really write some cool parts.

Dimitar, I really think you need more exposure.  People really need to recognize what you've created.  Great cover artwork BTW.

I'm trying to do my best to promote the album, but it is not very easy for one person Smiley

oh I know, that's the reason why I started this forum, to try and give self-promoters a place to start and gain some good feedback, which will hopefully spread elsewhere.

Excellent. Again I just wanted to give kudos on your music and your site. Very nice. I'm a little bit taken back by the whole global warming thing... The sun has caused global warming and cooling to happen for thousands of years... man is a little arrogant to think that we have been the cause of this and can do something about it via a carbon tax! (mainstream media will tell you that the scientists are all in agreement but that is not true) Sounds like another way to control people to me. To think that we can control a natural cycle such as warming and ice ages just hits at mans arrogance. Granted fossil fuels need to go. However ONE volcanic eruption can do way more harm then all of our cars... but enough of all that. Great Music non the less even if I don't agree with man being the cause... then again I try to not listen to what the main stream media tells me.

Great playing!

Hey Dimitar,

I'm listening to Shangri Li: very impressive stuff! You have a very good mix, and everything comes through perfectly. I love the background rhythm thing you have going (not sure what the instrument it), but it is very faint and you can just hear it enough that it adds nicely to the song. What is that instrument?

Very nice solo! You are definitely what everyone here has said: a true talent on the guitar. Oooh, love the break with the acoustic guitar, electric guitar and sounds like bongos? The rhythm guitar is pretty cool too.

I agree with Brian: the solos are not overdone or too flashy for flashy sake, but they are certainly amazing!

Great job! It amazes me the talent that is out there that sadly most people will never hear  Sad

I'll listen to more when time permits.

Warm Regards,

Tim

I received the CD a few days ago and have listened to it several times. I have to say that upon repeated listenings, I hear more each time. Lots of well designed layers. No throw-away tunes here. Each one has its own character. I'm very pleased owning this cd, folks.

Good forum...

So nice to hear you liked the album. Yeah the Global Warming is not a problem because of our activity. But I think we are helping the process.
Also when I made the album I though the music is abstract Art especially the guitar instrumental style. And people always expect abstractly named titles or something like that. I wanted to give a name and subject, theme for some "real" problem. We have to be more responsible for what is happening out there...I'm not trying to preach Wink It is lost fight...Smiley I just thought it would be nice to connect the the well known guitar style with social and human "problem".

Jack, glad to hear your got the CD!!!
Thank you!
